You don’t want to just lie by the pool and read in a hotel? If you like to be active during your vacations and want to learn new things, then these workshops on vacation are just right for you.
Workshops on vacation
The Green Pearls® Hotels offer great activities and workshops where you can learn new skills while relaxing on vacation. The offer is varied and everyone is sure to find something to suit them.

Culinary courses
The gourmet hotel Die Forelle is located at the beautiful Weißensee in Austria. Hannes Müller, who is also the manager of the hotel, cooks in the adjacent restaurant Weißensee. Besides exciting trips into nature, you can also enjoy delicious meals here. Culinary delights are also available in the hotel’s workshops. You can take part in cooking courses on selected topics such as autumn aromas or root vegetables and meat. There are offers for whole days or courses spread over several days. Of course, you will enjoy your meal together afterwards and you will receive the recipes for cooking at home
Berghotel Rehlegg

Herbology
At the Berghotel Rehlegg in Berchtesgaden, there is a herbal kitchen where you can make your own natural cosmetics. Take a seat at the large wooden table and enjoy the scent of the different herbs. Doris Hasenknopf, the herbalist, will explain how to make shower gels, herbal spices or peelings. The finished cosmetics and the knowledge about the preparation you will take home afterwards.

Gabriel Simon-Pinero at Hubertus unplugged also believes in the power of herbs. The native Mexican traveled the whole world already in his childhood. His knowledge of herbs and spices from all over the world is vividly conveyed in his cooking and herbology courses. With his infectious creativity, he shows you how to cook according to your own needs and which natural remedies you can use. A real source of inspiration

Offers for creative minds
The Café Heimatliebe of the Hotel Okelmann’s offers regular workshops on changing topics. For the courses the hotel gets support from creative bloggers who will guide you. Tie hydrangea wreaths with Julia from @sweetsugarpies, learn to embroider with blogger Michelle from @flossandflow or do a calligraphy workshop with artist Jeannette Mokosch in March 2021. And since the courses take place in the café, you will be served with homemade specialties. If you’re not the creative type, you can also attend courses on yoga and sound massage at the nearby Peter Hess Institute.
From old to new

The SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA tells you tricks for easy upcycling during a workshop, such as making a pinboard out of wine corks. More inspiration can be found at the hotel, such as bed signs made of old cutlery.

The mountains call
For those who prefer sports, the experienced mountain guide and owner of Locanda Mistral, Renato, has the right program. He will accompany you on climbing, mountaineering or ski tours. Renato will show you his home, the Maira Valley, and will certainly infect you with his love for this beautiful region.

Biohotel Grafenast
In Austria, at the Biohotel Grafenast, in winter, together with the local ski school, we offer re-entry courses for adults and courses for children. In January and February, there are also offers for snow-shoe hikes. And now and then there are also creative courses such as sculptor or acrylic painting workshops.

Relaxed on the Maldives
Courses for Yoga, Thai Chi, Qi Gong and sound therapy can be attended at the Meera Spa of Gili Lankanfushi. During the morning yoga in the beautiful surroundings of the Maldives, the figures from yoga are complemented with meditation exercises. Brings mind and body into balance and starts the day relaxed! You will certainly learn many tips and techniques that you can apply after your stay at home.

Local experiences
The Farmhouse Smiling Gecko is the training hotel of the Smiling Gecko project and is located in the middle of the various facilities of the project. The project tour is included in your room rate, it is in English and takes about 2 hours. During the tour you will receive detailed explanations about the history of Smiling Gecko and get an insight into the different projects like the farms, the carpentry and the education campus. In the future, the farmhouse plans to offer you tours to the surrounding villages. There you can see how palm sugar or rice wine is produced, how bamboo is cut to make charcoal, or how the locals collect ant nests to cook them.

Vinegar from Sirk
La Subida Relais in Italy also makes its own product. Take a look at the in-house vinegar factory. You will learn how vinegar is made and you can participate in a tasting.
It is best to check the current programs of the hotels on the websites before you arrive, because there are always new exciting offers.
