How did you spend New Year’s Eve? As you may know, I traveled to the Valle Maira in Piedmont for a week – and had a wonderfully relaxing time there! Climbing up and down the mountain with snowshoes through deep snow and forests during the day and spending the evenings relaxing in front of the fireplace in our apartment at Sagna Rotonda – it was so perfect that it was hard to say goodbye. Incidentally, the weather was also great: we could finally soak up the sun again because in the Valle Maira we had blue sky and sunshine every day!

On New Year’s Eve we did something more “special”: In the cozy little “Tavernetta di Sagna”, which is run by Fabio and Paula, we indulged in a four-course New Year’s Eve menu, until at midnight everyone went outside, toasted with champagne and wished for “Auguri” (all the best). 🙂
