When the hustle and bustle of the city is too much for you on weekends, a nature excursion is the best remedy. Last week, we explored the renaturated river Wertach close to Ausgburg. Because nature here is so beautiful and divers, the area is sometimes called “Small Canada”. In an area of approx. 5 km along the Wertach you can admire gently sloping shores, gravel banks, many different trees and flowers as well as a lot of insects. Although located so close to town, the renaturated Wertach is a rewarding destination and the perfect place to charge your batteries in unspoiled nature.
