Family vacation at the Boddenküste

The organic family hotel Gut Nisdorf is located on the coast of the Grabower Bodden – but what does that actually mean?

The Grabower Bodden is formed by the backwaters of the Baltic Sea and is a small lagoon that you can see from your window, depending on your apartment. The approximately 42 km² foothills of the Baltic Sea attracts many species of birds. Several thousand swans spend the winter in the Grabower Bodden, lovely to watch. In spring and autumn, large cranes nest in the Bodden region around Nisdorf and in the morning and evening they fly directly over the manor house. Our tip: Take one of the large Kettcars and take a ride with your children to the nearby coast of the Bodden – which is only five minutes away – and watch the cranes in the sunset. Beautiful!

By the way: If you follow the bike path with your Kettcar about 500 m along the water, you will meet a small swimming area with meadow and sandy beach. Here, the water is nice and flat – ideal for children to splash around or to collect stones.
